Donation of an handheld ultrasonic welding gun to the Karlsruhe Carl-Benz vocational school
In future pupils will be able to aim ultrasonic oscillations in order to join plastic materials. Our donation is intended to help the mechanical engineering, process engineering and mechatronics students to become confident with ultrasonic technology.

On Tuesday afternoon, the school's vice-principal, Bernhard Pfeifer, and the subject teacher, Falk Fitzner, received the donation worth 5000 € in our R&D department at Karlsbad-Ittersbach. According to Bernhard Pfeiffer, "The handheld ultrasonic welding gun is truly an asset for training. Up to now, ultrasound has been generally unknown in our school. We have already managed to join plastic materials in our workshop but thanks to the donation from SONOTRONIC, the students can punch and rivet plastic parts by using ultrasound".
The handheld ultrasonic welding gun, the generator and
a selection of sonotrodes will give the teachers the opportunity to physically
apply and teach their students the modern, trend-setting technology of
ultrasound. After the donation, the school's representatives were given
thorough training by our specialized technicians in the function and handling
of the welding gun.
This is a good basis for the application of the welding gun and a good start
for plastics welding in the school's professional training program.
