Together with our partner, Ultrawaves, we invited international visitors to our stand, where they could get an idea of the services, fields of application, products and technology. In technical talks, discussions and consultation sessions, backed up by our exhibits and information material, a lively exchange of information took place. Apart from the subject of “waste water sludge disintegration with ultrasound”, which is already familiar to the technical audience, the visitors were also particularly interested in new fields of application in the area of biogas and disinfection. Whilst SONOTRONIC’s ultrasonic systems are already in use treating biosolids in local authority and industrial digesters and wastewater treatment plants, using ultrasound as a means of disinfection is the subject of current research.

In order to explain the principle and mode of operation of our multi-awarding winning technology in greater detail, our fair team illustrated the action of ultrasound in liquid media by way of practical demonstrations using our transparent, Plexiglas exhibition reactor. The “newcomers” amongst the visitors were particularly fascinated.

As know-how provider and pioneer in the field of sonication of biosolids, we succeeded in further expanding our network at IFAT 2008. We look forward to welcoming you again at the next exhibition with tried and tested technologies and products, as well the latest developments.
