Review of the ITMA’07 trade fair: An overwhelming interest in new technologies for textile processing

High attendance at the ITMA trade fair stand

At first visitors found it hard to believe the promises made until they saw the results. The greatest interest was shown in the new US-thermofixing process and its extremely low energy consumption, compared with other systems. Our trade fair team explained the function of this innovative technology directly at the machine and answered the countless questions from the interested crowd.

Our new technology of two-sided dyeing was the cause of general fascination: Many visitors saw new business opportunities from the possibility of applying different colours to the two sides of narrow fabrics.

Impressions from ITMA'07Impressions from ITMA'07Impressions from ITMA'07The two-coloured samples we had brought with us impressed the visitors, so that many belt producers announced that they would send us some material for sampling in our laboratory.

Our making-up technologies for textiles also attracted a lot of attention. The visitors were convinced by the high quality of our ultrasonic welding and punching processes, as well as by the versatility of our product range.

At our stand we had the facility to demonstrate the possibilities and range of applications of our machines directly on a two-coloured belt, thereby providing impressive evidence of the advantages of our technologies.

First of all we thermofixed the belt, which we had already dyed in different colours on the two sides, and then we checked it with the quality control device. The next step was to cut the belt by ultrasound to the correct suitcase-belt length. Then the buckle was applied and finally we welded the ends of the belt on one of our standard welders. The visitors showed keen interest in the finished suitcase belts.
