From more than 600 applicants, prizes and awards were given in 21 categories at the Hanover Fair on Monday, 21.04.2008. The Industry Prize under the SME Initiative awards prizes for products and solutions, which are outstanding, because of their very large innovative content and usefulness. Our ultrasonic thermofixing machine won over the independent jury in both criteria.

The innovation rests in the new technology of the ultrasonic thermofixing machines. The patented method generates the heat needed for thermofixing directly in the material from several ultrasonic units connected in series. This method offers considerable advantages over conventional thermofixing machines: greatly increased flexibility, significant reduction in energy consumption (up to 90%) and less space required; highly eco-friendly process and high quality results. With ultrasonic thermofixing machines from SONOTRONIC, small to medium sized producers of narrow fabrics are able to react flexibly to market situations. The process also opens up the possibility of new products.
