The different SONOTRONIC winding and coiling installations can be operated alone or together with other textile processing machines.

Winding and Coiling Installations

The coiling machines are designed for vertical or horizontal coiling of non-elastic belts with or without cardboard core. The belt is fed into the machine onto the mandrel, either manually or automatically.

Using unwinding machines means that coiled belts are simpler to introduce into textile processing machines

Applications:

  • Wind and unwind
  • Coiling device for textile belts, in vertical or horizontal positions
  • Non-elastic textile materials
  • PA, PES, PP, cotton, aramid, dyneema®, glass silk, non-woven, foils and other materials as well as mixed fabrics

Characteristics and advantages:

  • Can be connected to different textile processing machines
  • Coiling rate: up to 400 m/min
  • Coiling diameter: up to 800 mm
  • Belt widths of 10 to 100 mm
  • Cardboard core diameter: up to 60 mm
  • Coiling mandrel: 32 or 60 mm
  • Length measurements in 1-mm increments
  • The machine stops if tension becomes excessive
  • Piece counter with preselection
  • Machine body made from aluminium system profiles

Options:

  • Feed drive with dancing roller control for belt feed with reduced, even belt tension.
  • Ring sensor for identification of metal parts
  • Belt untangling unit and knot detection
  • Integration of a hot cutting blade (on one side and angled on one side)
  • Connection to an installation for inspection
  • Integration of components for quality control and belt monitoring
